deeper than words

  • cupboard

    he may had you first
and, maybe, even until his last breath
    but, for just long enough,
    you were mine.
you will think of me randomly,
    and he will know.
    those feelings,
    skeleton in the cupboard.

  • only you know

    I have you,
so I don’t get lost in the dark.
I know when I look into your eyes,
there is no one else but me.
    no one else matters.
    I grew up with you,
    without you, fear rises.
I write these words, but they aren’t enough,
    maybe it’s better this way.
a lifetime with you, but it isn’t enough.
in choosing you, I chose me.

  • blue room

    As I lay here,
    raindrops fighting to get in.
    in a dimly lit room,
daylight peeking through the rain clouds.
    my thoughts overwhelm my senses
    wondering what is next.
this feeling grabbing ahold of me,
    she is on my mind,
familiar thought since the day I met her
wondering if she is thinking of me,
    replaying her last touch.
does she wish it was me she was waking up next to?
my gaze, the first sensation her body feels.
    her soul, captivated by mine…
as the sound of the rain grows more intensely,
I snap back to reality, the now…
    a waking dream.

  • horizon

    the hope,
    for something beautiful.
    right there, on the horizon,
    impatient, just as I am.
    something that is so eager,
it wants to meet me halfway…

  • wondering eyes

    my eyes wonder,
    making eye contact with yours,
    you smile,
like you have so much to say,
    that sparkle in your eyes…
    wondering…
are you feeling what I am feeling?

  • rain

The sound of the rain hitting the window, the unmistakable tone that requires no visual cue. A dimly lit lamp with a candle burning, filling the air with aromas gently complimenting the smell of warm coffee. A fire burning, symbolizing the warmth of their hearts. Two people connected by the touch of two hands intertwined within one another. In that moment of silence, the clock stops moving… The lullaby of the rain drops quiets… The only sound that lingers in the air are the two hearts moving in sync, both wishing for this moment to never end…
