like a fine watch,
sweeping smoothly with each passing second,
waiting for the time to be just right.
you and I getting kissed by the rain
with the moon watching,
never alone.

running out
running out of paper,
running out of ink,
running out of sunshine,
running out of time,
all long before
I run out of words to say to you…

snow
perfect in shape,
yet the naked eye can’t see.
weak at first,
melts unless conditions are just right.
once it clings, however,
accumulation starts.
that first snow flake fails over and over again.
until it doesn’t.
after a few hours, everything is white.
snow overpowering all colors.
all things that are not.

beach trip
it was a cool summer night,
the two were enjoying a few drinks.
the tension palpable, both anticipating what was to come.
in between sips of his whiskey
and attentively listening to his favorite melody,
her voice,
he stole glances of her body,
ceaseless, his desire for her.
his mouth watering, no thanks to his drink.
their surrounding, now feeling too crowded
meant that the time had finally come,
to step out and head back to their room.
the cute little beach town provided a beautiful backdrop,
especially at night,
when the moon and the stars provided just enough light
to illuminate their path.
on their journey,
he took her on a detour through the beach,
now quiet from the chaos it endured earlier in the day.
they sat underneath a berm,
both enjoying the sound the water was making
as it moved back and forth.
the moment felt perfect.
when suddenly he noticed the salty breeze
wasn’t the only thing kissing his face, his neck,
and what once was covered by his pants,
now unbuckled.
he grabbed her,
hard just as she liked it,
she was submissive after all.
her skirt, now up to her waist
as she straddled him,
his hands meeting hers for balance.
they became one.
her melody, now a moan in his ear
that ravaged his soul.
with each stroke,
her soul, surrendering to him
she was his.
unsure if they were alone,
but they didn’t care
it was their moment.
a night,
they will never forget.

dreams
my dreams,
a clear picture for me to see,
eyes closed
and you…
is all I see.wondering when you will realize,
I am strong enough for the both,
if only you’d let me in.
holding you,
my greatest pleasure.
-
know
you and I both know,
no matter what you tell me,
the words you wrote to him,
are the words I wanted to hear from you all along
but never did.
an affair of the heart.

fade
just remember
once the feelings start to fade,
because they will,
they always do,
you still have to try.

sync
we barely talk,
two strangers who know little about one another
yet somehow connected.
our souls in sync,
like the matching sweaters.
I see you
you see me
and the things we could be.
