flashing signs
competing for your attention.
weaving through the noise,
the eyes keen on
the many walks of life.
some happy, some sad
some wondering, some resolute.
those unfazed from
the beauty that surrounds them,
as if numbed by life.
and those who romanticize
all that is the city,
recording their every step
in the hopes to relieve that moment.

but yet at peace.
